Some patient data, such as contact details, is stored via our online practice management system – Private Practice Software (PPS).

PPS offers ISO 27001 certified security on site 24/7/365 with off-site backup. CCTV and a key fob access system add multiple layers of security and peace of mind, whilst servers feature an enterprise-class firewall.

The PPS Hosted system includes a two-step verification process as standard.

Paper records

We also keep ‘paper’ patient notes, stored in locked filing cabinets at our clinic. These are the notes gathered by practitioners during consultation. Unless stated otherwise, access to patient notes is granted to their practitioner only. Every new patient is required to sign a confidentiality form to confirm whether or not they are willing to:

• Allow other practitioners to have access to their patient notes, in the interests of agreeing an integrated treatment plan.
• Allow their practitioner to discuss their case with other practitioners, in the interests of agreeing an integrated treatment plan.
