How can counselling help you?
Sometimes life throws challenges our way which can leave us feeling overwhelmed.
Counselling aims to support clients to navigate whatever it is they are facing. Perhaps finding someone to turn to is difficult or maybe you feel that nothing has changed and feel lost in the world. Counselling can help.
Below are a list of just some of the difficulties counselling can help with:
Loss and Bereavement
Low self-esteem and confidence
What is Person-Centred therapy?
Person-centred therapy has the client’s needs at the forefront and sessions are focused on what the client wishes to bring.
Person-centred therapy believes in the innate goodness of every person and that as human beings we all have the potential within us to grow and to change and move towards a realisation of our true ability, given the right conditions.
The client-counsellor relationship is key to the success of the therapy work and through the offer of a warm, genuine relationship clients move towards a greater sense of well-being, feeling more aligned and satisfied with their life
What can I expect?
After an initial assessment appointment, an agreement will be made as to the day and time of your session. How many sessions you need is dependent upon how you feel and we can look at this together in the assessment appointment. You may find that after a few sessions you feel better and have worked through your difficulty; it is always your choice to end
sessions when you feel ready.
Our Counsellor (Katie Bishopp) is registered with the BACP (British Association for
